Creative Director Develop and execute marketing plans that include email campaigns, promotions, videos, partnerships, facebook ads, beauty influencers, giveaways, store discounts, samplings, and print opportunities. Conduct analysis of campaigns. Reduce packaging costs through redesigns, research and develop new products, and build social media community while expanding conversations and interactions. One online campaign increased website sales by 400%.

Art Director Created the art department that built retail skincare brand, DermaSilk, from 2 products to over 12 products in 2 years. Strategized, managed, and directed all creative content including redesigning packaging and website, developing social media, email campaigns, videos, commercials, tradeshow booths, brochures, and national advertising. Tracked and analyzed campaigns, managed schedules, and developed marketing/advertising calendar. Helped to grow brand from $6m/year to $20m/year with two staff designers and freelancers.

Art Director (Freelance) Developed the Big Book educational series with interactive components and Teacher’s Guides that engage children in classroom learning. Responsible for every aspect of the development from design through delivery of files. Project came in 40% under budget.

Art Director (Freelance) Created original Illustrator designs for photo greeting cards, announcements, invitations, and photo books for online photo website.

Art Director Designed direct mail packages, space ads, online newsletters/marketing, and websites for clients such as CondeNast, Forbes, PDN and Newsweek Magazines. Redesigned company website. Developed an archiving system that shortened file retrieval time by 50%.

Scholastic Inc., Direct Marketing Division-Creative Services, Danbury, CT (Book Publisher)     2006-2008
Art Director (Freelance) Designed both print and online components for direct-to-home division. Projects included DM Packages, Co-ops, Freerides, Space Ads, FSI’s, landing pages, email campaigns, e-spots, and banners (both static and animated). Developed PowerPoint presentations, hired models, and directed photoshoots.

Grolier/Scholastic Inc., Direct Marketing Division-New Product Development, Danbury, CT     1997-2005
Design Coordinator/Art Director (8/97-7/05)  Developed 80+ books, premiums, and calendars per quarter under tight deadlines, including concept, product and logo design, creation of art, hi-res art retouching, and production. Trained and managed in-house Freelancers, art directed Packagers, coordinated book production schedules and worked with Licensors. Raised quality and lowered costs by developing instructional booklet explaining department requirements and print guidelines.
